Our Work

At Intercon Truck Equipment each project receives personal attention by experts in their field. Intercon provides all levels of service from outfitting third party equipment, to the design and installation of custom truck bodies. Each project goes through multiple inspections throughout the installation process and upon completion to insure that only the best in quality and workmanship is provided to our customers.

Jerry Southern, Sr. has been involved with the truck equipment industry since 1969. Jerry started his career as a mechanic at Transport Equipment Corporation in the 1960’s, then worked his way into managerial positions at Gallagher Truck Equipment, and Eastern Body, Inc. Jerry started Intercon Truck Equipment, Inc. in 1991, and has built his business through hard work, quality installations, and service second to none.
Tom Yeager

Tom Yeager has been in the truck equipment industry since 1980. Tom originally was a Parts Manager for Gallagher Truck Equipment, Inc. in the late 1980’s, then worked his way into an outside sales position with Gallagher. Tom Yeager has been Jerry’s closest associate for over 25 years. Tom’s expertise is in the Municipal and Fleet sector, which allows him to solve most municipal truck equipment needs.
Gene Roarty

Gene started his career in service at Watkins Motors in 1977 and soon after that he moved to sales. After 18 years at Watkins, he went to Nucar Chevy as Truck Manager and was there for 15 years. He has worked in the automotive paint industry and, before coming to Intercon in 2013, worked as a salesman for Ransom International. Gene will handle day to day operations of Intercon Truck including inside sales.
Denis Magerr

Denis Magerr has been in the truck equipment industry since 1985. Denis’s first position was as a salesman for Fontaine Truck Equipment, Inc. in Bensalem, PA. Denis later became Assistant Manager at the Bensalem location. Denis received extensive knowledge in the railroad/transit industry while working at Interstate Truck Equipment, Inc. in the early 1990’s. Denis has been with Intercon for over 10 years while completing multiple projects for railroad, rental, and transit companies in the northeast.
Don Whittaker

Bio
Don Whittaker is one of Intercon Truck Equipment’s original employees. Don started with Intercon in 1991, and then worked briefly at our Baltimore, MD location as Service Manager before rejoining Intercon in Boothwyn, PA. Don splits his time between Inside Sales duties, as well as Quality Control. Don schedules the majority of our snow/ice control installations during our plow season.
Joe Sivick

Joe has been with Intercon since 2016.  Previously Joe was a Sales Manager for a BMW dealership in Wilmington, De, where he worked for over 28 years.  Joe is quite familiar with the dealer business, and is spearheading our Kargomaster Van Interior Rebate Program. 
Jared Southern

Jared has been with Intercon since 1997, where he worked as a shop technician for several years.  Jared is involved in the parts department as an Assistant Parts Manager with extensive technical knowledge of our MAS-90 inventory tracking systems, as well as an inside computer tech, helping troubleshoot internal computer issues. 
Bud Lipski

Bud is a recent retiree as a Spec Writer/Purchaser for the City of Philadelphia, where he put in over 38 years of service.  Bud is working part time with us as an Inside Sales Coordinator and Bid Specialist.  Bud will review specs and on line bidding for various fleets and municipalities throughout the tri-state area.

Dawn Southern has been with Intercon Truck Equipment, Inc. since 1993. Dawn has a B.S. degree from Widener University in Accounting and is fluent in Spanish. Dawn is in charge of our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Departments. Dawn is credited with much of our success at Intercon Truck Equipment, Inc.

Mary Rayer has been with Intercon Truck Equipment since 2000. Mary’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, human resources, payroll, A/P, A/R, customer service and keeping all accreditations current. She also does A/P for Triad Truck Equipment in Pottstown.

Diane has been with Intercon since 2013. She handles all our incoming calls as well as accounts payable & receivable. She assists in all day to day operations.
Tom Bytheway

Tom Bytheway has been with Intercon Truck Equipment since 1999, and in the industry since 1989. Prior to Intercon, Tom was a lead mechanic for Lancaster Truck Bodies, Inc. Tom has extensive training in hydraulics, fabrication, and pneumatic technologies. Tom is also certified in hy-rail maintenance and installations. Tom has the ability to solve any of your truck equipment needs. Intercon service, is second to none.
Joe Muraska

Joe Muraska has been a lead mechanic at Intercon truck Equipment since 1994. Joe’s specialty is in hydraulics, and completes and troubleshoots the majority of our municipal plow business. Joe is also certified in hy-rail maintenance and installations. Intercon service is second to none.

Lew Reynolds has been our Paint Supervisor since 1998. Lew was a painter for Eagle Equipment, prior to coming on board with Intercon. Lew’s paint finishes are one of the reasons for Intercon’s reputation for quality. Lew uses DuPont finishes with extensive knowledge of body work and finish.

George has been with Intercon since 2004.  George is an inside counter salesman in our parts department, with extensive knowledge of Boss, Meyers, Fisher, and Buyers plows and spreaders.   George also assists with Trailer Sales, Parts, and Service. 
Jim Fagan

Jim has over 20 years in the truck equipment industry, starting with us in 1994.  Jim specializes in central hydraulic systems, pre-wet, and brine systems for municipalities.  Jim’s fabricating and welding skills are un-matched.

Allen has been in the truck equipment industry as a mechanic since 1988.  Allen’s 29 years of experience has been a tremendous asset for Intercon.  Allen is our Hi-rail specialist, and is certified in DMF, Harsco Track Technologies, and Rafna railgear.  Allen has completed projects for many Railroads and Transits throughout the northeast.

Rich has been in the truck equipment industry as a mechanic since 1987.  Rich’s specialties include:   Mechanic Trucks, Hook-lift Trucks, and Articulating Cranes.  Rich has completed projects on mechanic trucks for construction companies, and fleets throughout the tri-state area.

Scott Lien has been involved with the truck equipment industry since 1979. Scott worked as lead mechanic for Gallagher Truck Equipment, Inc., Eastern Body Company, and Eagle Equipment. Scott has been our Parts Manager since 1998. He is S.A.E. certified, and has extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and other equipment related items. Scott is one of the cornerstones of our success at Intercon Truck Equipment, Inc.

Ken has been with Intercon for over a year.  Ken has experience in inside warehouse operations, and helps with Intercon’s inside parts and warehouse operations.

Jerry Jr. started out as a shop technician at Eastern Truck Body in 1989 and then onto shop supervisor at Intercon Truck Equipment in Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1996. Jerry relocated to Baltimore, MD in 1996 when Intercon Truck Equipment acquired Waddle Truck Equipment. Jerry is responsible for operations at Intercon Truck Equipment in Maryland. Jerry also supervised the expansion of the business into custom truck body manufacturing.
Craig Waddle

Craig Waddle officially has been around the truck equipment industry all his life. He initially worked summers for Waddle Truck Equipment doing odd jobs in the shop, moving next to delivering completed vehicles before being hired as an outside salesman in 1991. Craig Waddle has been Jerry Jr.’s closest associate for over 20 years. His main focus is municipal sales, heavy truck dealer sales and custom applications.
Rob Bowman

Rob Bowman got his start in the industry in 2001 where he was in outside sales for E. Lehnert & Sons in Baltimore.  Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment ultimately purchased E. Lehnert & Sons in 2002 where Rob worked in both inside and outside sales.  Rob was hired by Crest Truck Equipment which later became Reading Equipment & Distribution in late 2002 where he worked as a territory manager until 2009. In 2009 Rob then went to work for M-B Companies, a manufacturer of line striping equipment, where he was a regional sales manager before becoming national sales manager in 2014.  Rob joined Intercon to manage day to day operations as General Manager in 2016.

Ray has been with the Intercon since 1997. Prior to his current position as quotation specialist, Ray had occupied the position as shop supervisor from 1997 to 2001. Ray is knowledgeable in all aspects of the truck equipment business.
Rick Springer

Rick has been with Intercon Truck Equipment since 2016 and is the Central PA Municipal Sales Manager. Rick spent 20 years in the coal mining industry repairing and troubleshooting hydraulics before entering the truck equipment industry in 1995. Rick has focused primarily on the municipal market since 2003. Rick has extensive knowledge of the applications and specifications required to build the best municipal vehicle for you.
Kim Forsythe

Kim has been with the Intercon Truck Equipment since 2002. Kim assists in the day to day operations of the office including fielding incoming phone calls and customer inquiries. Kim is also responsible for accounts payable and account receivable.

Terry has been with Intercon since 1997 and has been working in the industry since 1993. Terry is one of our most influential team members and has been instrumental in the growth of our company. Terry started out as a technician before being promoted to his current position in 2001. Terry organizes the flow of work through all of the departments within our company. Terry fields many of the service related inquiries and is also fluent in the many software packages needed to manufacture the custom truck bodies our customers have come to expect.
Ron Feehley

Ron Feehley has been with Intercon Truck Equipment for 10 years. Originally hired as a welder/fabricator, Ron was promoted to his current position in 2014. Ron is skilled in the use of the manufacturing equipment and the many software packages needed to make a custom truck body come to life. Ron has been instrumental in the growth of our manufacturing department over the last 3 years.

Tim has been with Intercon since 1996 and was the first team member hired in Maryland. Tim has extensive knowledge of the installation and manufacturing processes that allow the vehicles to flow through our shop. This extensive knowledge has earned him his current position as quality control manager. Tim meticulously inspects all vehicles prior to leaving our shop to make sure you have the perfect work truck.
Russell Wood

Russell started at Intercon shortly after graduating high school in 2004 and has filled many important positions’ from technician, machine operator and shop supervisor. Russell is fluent in the many software packages needed to manufacture the custom truck bodies that flow through our shop. Russell is the retail showroom manager and also fields most customer service inquiries. In having experienced so many aspects of our business, Russell is the perfect point of contact for just about anything here at Intercon.

Mark has been employed with Intercon since 2003 and accepted the position of paint shop supervisor in 2010. Mark has worked in body and paint shops since he was 16 years old and definitely knows the detail it takes to get the job done right the first time. Mark inspects each job that leaves his department and makes sure he is proud to put his name on it. Mark uses top quality products and puts 110% into everything he does.

Kevin has been with Intercon Truck Equipment since 2005. Kevin, after first being hired as a forklift operator, was promoted to shop parts manager in 2009. Kevin is responsible for ordering the parts for the up fitted vehicles that flow through our shop. Kevin also assists with parts and service related inquires.
