R-290 CUSHION-RIDE RAILGEAR

G & B Specialties Model R-290 is applicable to vehicles up to 12,500 lbs GVWR. Identical, ultra-compact rotating front and rear railgear units are standard. Railgear locks automatically in both road and rail position. Proven “Cushion-Ride” suspension provides superior ride quality, reduced vibration through the vehicle frame, less component stress, and constant rail wheel to rail contact. No railgear adjustments are required for varying loads. Rail wheel assemblies are bolted to the axles for simple wheel alignment. All four rail wheels provide full track circuit isolation. Included 12VDC electric / hydraulic pump and reservoir with sealed push button controls and emergency hand pump provides safe and easy access to the rail. Optional in-cab railgear controls are available. Includes vehicle wheel modification kit to center vehicles front and rear tires on rail. Few moving parts result in low maintenance and lubrication costs. Fully installed weight is approximately 450 lbs front and 500 lbs rear.

R-450 CUSHION-RIDE RAILGEAR

This 100% duty cycle railgear was designed to meet the task at hand. Equip a light truck that has a maximum GVWR rating of 19,500 lbs with a Rafna R-450 Railgear and see for yourself. Proven “Cushion-Ride” suspension provides ride quality , reduced vibration through the vehicle frame, less component stress, and constant rail wheel to rail contact. No railgear adjustments are required for varying loads. With Rafna-Cushion-Ride Railgear, there are no limits imposed. If the vehicle can support the load, so can the railgear. Rafna R-450 Railgear has two hydraulic cylinders on both the front and rear units, providing power to spare under full vehicle capacity. On rail, the vehicle’s front wheels are raised a minimum of 2” above the rail head and the vehicle axle is hydraulically locked in place.

R-1130 RAILGEAR

G&B Specialties’ Model R-1130 railgear is designed for vehicles with GVWR’s of 33,000 lbs or larger, using high carbon steel and hardened steel castings. The R-1130 front railgear utilizes the vehicle’s front suspension and the frame to lift the front wheels off the track approximately two inches. The dual scissor rear railgear attaches to the vehicle’s frame behind the spring hangers. The scissor design makes for a more speedy operation of getting the vehicle on track and off track. The rear gear also incorporates “Cushion-Ride” springs for constant railhead pressure. With the R- 1130, there are no limits imposed. If the vehicle can support the load, so can the railgear.

R-1100 RAILGEAR

G & B Specialties Model R-1100 railgear is designed for vehicles with GVWR”s 33,000lbs and larger. The R-1100 front railgear utilizes the vehicle’s front suspension and the vehicle’s frame to lift the front wheels off the track. Attaching to the vehicle’s front suspension and frame makes this design more advantageous for the proper support of the vehicle. The dual scissor rear railgear attaches to the truck’s frame behind the spring hangers. The scissor action of the rear railgear makes it possible for the rear railgear to be moved along both the X and Y plane. This design makes for a more speedy operation of getting the vehicle on track and off track.

With G & B New R-1100 Railgear, there are no limits imposed. If the vehicle can support the load, so can the railgear. G & B Specialties R-1100 Railgear has two hydraulic cylinders on both the front and rear units, providing power to spare under full vehicle capacity. On rail, the vehicle’s front wheels are raised approximately 2” above the rail head. Structural members are of carbon steel. Hardened steel castings are used in the making of the 16” wheels.

R-1110/1150 RAILGEAR

G&B Specialties’ Model R-1110 railgear is designed for vehicles with GVWR’s of 33,000 lbs or larger, using high carbon steel and hardened steel forgings. The R-1110 front railgear utilizes the vehicle’s front suspension and the frame to lift the front wheels off the track approximately two inches. The dual scissor rear railgear attaches to the vehicle’s frame behind the spring hangers. The scissor design makes for a more speedy operation of getting the vehicle on track and off track, and allows for an X and Y plane adjustment.

In heavy duty cases, and bigger weight loads, the R-1150 has you covered. With the rear capable of supporting 70,000 lbs, this gear will get any heavy duty truck on rail.

With the R-1110 and its big brother the R-1150, there are no limits imposed. If the vehicle can support the load, so can the railgear.
