(58,967 Kgs) designed for the demands of the towing and recovery, utility, oil & gas, and mining & construction applications, Ramsey has the industrial hydraulic winch you need. Fast line speeds limit time in the danger zone as well as increase efficiency and productivity on the job. Cables can be under-wound to minimize strain on the winch, or overwound reducing risk of damage to the load. Many models can be either foot or side mounted for adaptability and ease of maintenance.

Ramsey Winch Hydraulic Planetary Winches are tested and certified to operate in temperatures from -40 to 120 Degrees Fahrenheit. Ramsey Winches offer easy, fast free spooling with only 50 Lbs. resistance at -35 Degrees Fahrenheit and can be operated by air or manually, providing fast line payout and reducing wear on components. Ramsey Winch Hydraulic Planetary Winches are manufactured to meet SAE J706 standards for US models and to meet EN14492-1 standards for EU models.

Electric Winches

Motor and solenoids grounded directly to battery.
Automatic load-holding brakes for strength and reliability.
Cam action clutch disengages planetary gear system for free spooling on most models. The Ramsey Winch Patriot 15,000 features a spring-loaded pull and rotate clutch design. The Ramsey Winch Patriot 9500UT is equipped with a convenient, time-saving patent-pending semi-automatic clutch.
Winches feature either a 12-foot wire pendant remote or the patent-pending wireless remote. Badger series winches are available with an easy-to-operate motor control switch or 12-foot wire pendant remote.

4-way roller fairleads or hawse fairleads available.
Accessories including up to 50-foot wire pendant remotes, heavy-duty remotes, clevis hooks, mounting channels, safety switches, winch covers, wiring kits, grill/brush guards and bumpers available.

Ramsey Winch offers trail-tough, field-proven Electric Planetary Winches for the consumer offroad and self-recovery markets in size ranges from 2500 Lbs. to 15,000. The high efficiency three-stage planetary gear set conserves motor energy and reduces motor strain. Many models feature a high-torque 12 and 24 V DC series wound electric reversible motor for increased pulling power. Ramsey’s Electric Planetary Winches are available in configurations with solenoid over drum or as “Profile Design” which allows the winch to be installed in tighter spaces with a remotely mounted solenoid pack. As a safety feature for the operator, the brake will automatically engage when the solenoid is inactive. Optional wireless remote operation saves time and allows the operator to monitor the recovery or winching operation from a different perspective

Made in the USA in Ramsey’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the bumper shell is made from the highest quality galvanneal steel for superior rust protection. The POWERMASTER series is designed to deliver in a lighter weight, compact package that means more workload and less wear and tear.

At the heart of the bumper winch assembly is the legendary Ramsey Winch Hydraulic Planetary Winch. Efficiently designed to deliver 20,000 Lbs. of pull in a compact bumper winch package, it features the Ramsey highly efficient planetary gear set for smooth operation and long life. Designed and tested to SAE J706 standards, Ramsey’s POWERMASTER series winches use a spring-applied hydraulic-release brake for reliable, smooth load control. With a drum capacity of up to 220 feet. of 9/16-Inch cable, you can make even the most difficult recoveries more quickly and safely. Ramsey’s extended capstan shaft rotates 3.5 times faster than drum, making short work of material handling and cable retrieval chores.

HOISTS

Ramsey Winch Planetary Hoists provide high capacity, higher-line speed lifting in a compact, lighter weight design. Designed to deliver reliable power lift after lift, service crane hoists (SCH series and RCH series) and industrial hoists feature a high efficiency gear set with anti-friction bearings for smooth operation and precision load handling. With first-layer lifting capacities of 1000 Lbs. to 15,000 Lbs., Ramsey has the right hoist for your application. Ramsey’s oil-cooled spring-applied hydraulic-release brake provides positive load holding and predictable load control, and the Sprag one-way clutch assures the load will not dip nor drift. Hoists offer multiple gear ratios and motor options to meet customer performance needs, such as low flow Geroler motors, high flow gear motors, and high efficiency piston motors.

Trust the Ramsey Crane Hoist (RCH series) for the power and safe, reliable, operation you need. When you choose to outfit your RCH with Ramsey’s optional Electronic Cable Management System (ECM), you will always know the status of your lift. The ECM monitors the status of the hoist cable and notifies the operator that the drum is turning. Operators are alerted when work begins on the last layer and again when only three wraps of cable remain on the drum. The ECM system offers simple 1-2-3 programming and optional automatic slowdown system with last layer alarm.

POWERMASTER SERIES

The Ramsey Winch POWERMASTER Series is tailored specifically for the Utility Industry. The POWERMASTER series includes a complete bumper system featuring a 20,000 Lb. Hydraulic Planetary Winch with optional extended shaft. The POWERMASTER high efficiency planetary gear 6000 Lb. Capstan drive features a high torque hydraulic motor with dual counterbalance valves for smooth operation. Light weight aluminum or ductile iron 7-Inch bayonet style Capstan heads and a stand-alone 20,000 Lb. Hydraulic Planetary Winch are also available in the durable, powerful POWERMASTER Series.

The POWERMASTER Bumper offers the ultimate design in utility bumper winch assemblies. In short, Ramsey offers the EN-compliant industrial hydraulic or electric winch perfect for your needs. The winches offer easy, fast free spooling that can be operated by air or manually, providing fast line payout and reducing wear on components. EN-Compliant winches are equipped so that the cable is fixed to the drum via a puck system, meeting requirements that the cable should not fail before the overload interrupt is engaged.

Ramsey winches are designed with fewer moving parts (worm and gear) and provide greater handling of shock loads as well as fewer wear points.

Multiple clutch options (Ram-Lok, Lever Lock and Dowel Lock) are available as well as cables that can be overwound or underwound, depending upon the application. Ramsey Winch manufactures Worm Gear Speed Reducer models from 4800 In/Lbs. to 99,300 In/Lbs. of output torque. From the smallest job to the largest, Ramsey has the right size, ratio, and torque rating for your application. With multiple gear ratios available, Ramsey can match the output and specification to your application. Worm Gear Speed Reducers have a side access cover for easy inspection and maintenance and feature an oil-cooled brake for positive load holding and load control.
