Employment Opportunities

Founded in 1986 by two mechanical engineers, Jim Hogan and Tony Menard, VMAC began as a small machine shop designing disposable jet engines for the military. After the project ended, the company transitioned to a different niche, designing and manufacturing brackets for truck mounted air compressors. VMAC’s brackets quickly earned a global reputation for quality and durability. Steeped in a culture of innovation over the past 32 years, while growing in to one of the only true rotary screw air compressor manufacturers in the world, VMAC is a big name in Compressed Air Innovation.

Gas-Driven Air Compressors

VMAC G30 gas driven air compressors include a patented 30 CFM rotary screw air compressor designed to produce full air power, 100% of the time, so you don’t need an air receiver tank. Get jobs done faster, without interruption.

G30 gas driven air compressors are engineered and manufactured for mobile applications. Weighing only 205 lbs, the G30 is about 50% lighter than typical 22 – 30 CFM reciprocating gas engine driven air compressors with 30-gallon air receiver tank. Choosing a lightweight air compressor means you’ll be able to add more tools and equipment to your truck, carry more materials, or take advantage of better fuel economy.

VMAC air compressors feature the latest rotary screw technology integrated into a compact, turn-key package that is significantly lighter and smaller than any other competitive model. Fit more tools, equipment and supplies on your truck, without hassle.

VMAC G30 gas driven air compressors are proven to work in extreme cold climates across North America when ordered with factory-installed cold climate kits. Engines supplied by Honda come with an industry-leading 3-year warranty and VMAC rotary screw air compressors come with the industry’s first Lifetime Limited Warranty. For peace of mind, without the headache.

Diesel-Driven Air Compressors

The VMAC D60 diesel-powered air compressor includes a patented direct-driven rotary screw air compressor designed to produce 60 CFM, 100% of the time, so operators don’t have to wait for their air compressor to fill up an air receiver tank. This maximizes tool performance and eliminates downtime.

Weighing just 450 lbs, the D60 is up to 350 lbs lighter than comparable air compressors. This is because VMAC designs systems with lightweight materials and integrated components. Choosing a lightweight air compressor means you’ll be able to add more tools and equipment to your truck, carry more materials, or take advantage of better fuel economy.

What makes the D60 diesel air compressor so intelligent is the digital control system. The control system automatically idles the Kubota diesel engine up and down and turns it on and off with air demand. This means fewer emissions and less noise on the job site. Since the truck engine can remain off while using the air compressor, fleet managers can save on truck maintenance and fuel costs. Another important benefit of the advanced control system is built-in cold and hot climate protection, keeping the D60 running in most extreme climates.

VMAC’s powerful diesel driven air compressors reduce truck maintenance and fuel use by allowing you to turn your truck engine off while on the jobsite. The control system not only automatically idles the compressor’s engine up/down with air demand, it also turns the engine off/on with air demand. This function, along with the lightweight design of the diesel driven air compressor helps improves fuel economy while driving and on the jobsite.

VMAC diesel air compressors are easy to use, access and service. Systems can be integrated into the truck or can remain self-contained so they can be easily transferred from truck to truck. Digital controls and LCD allow easy adjustment of system settings and provide service reminders to operators.

VMAC diesel driven air compressors work in extreme climates across North America with built-in cold/hot climate protection and an optional factory-installed cold climate kit. Systems are powered by Kubota, the most reliable and common compact diesel engine on the market. Patented direct-driven rotary screw air compressors are manufactured by VMAC, and include a VMAC Lifetime Warranty.

Hydraulic-Driven Air Compressors

40 CFM Hydraulic Air Compressors

VMAC Hydraulic 40 CFM air compressors free up to 6 cubic feet on the truck deck. Systems are designed and engineered to be compact for service trucks and applications where space is limited.

Hydraulic 40 CFM air compressors reduce truck GVW by as much as 260 lbs. This is because VMAC designs systems with lightweight materials and integrated components. Choosing a lightweight air compressor means you’ll be able to add more tools and equipment to your truck, carry more materials, or take advantage of better fuel economy.

Hydraulic air compressors use patented rotary screw technology that can operate intermittently for smaller jobs, but are designed to run at 100% duty cycle without stopping, so operators don’t have to wait for their air compressor to fill up an air receiver tank.  This maximizes tool performance and eliminates downtime by keeping operators working.

UNDERHOOD AIR COMPRESSORS

UNDERHOOD 70 Air Compressors free up to 25 cubic feet on the truck deck because the air compressor mounts in the engine compartment. In fact, no components get installed on the truck deck which ensures a clean and professional looking truck, and space for other equipment, tools or materials. These compressors also reduce truck GVW by as much as 260 lbs. Choosing a lightweight air compressor means you’ll be able to add more tools and equipment to your truck, carry more materials, or take advantage of better fuel economy.

UNDERHOOD 70 air compressors use patented rotary screw technology designed to run at 100% duty cycle without stopping, so operators don’t have to wait for their air compressor to fill up an air receiver tank. This maximizes tool performance and eliminates downtime. UNDERHOOD compressors are powered by the truck’s engine. Because they don’t have their own engine that needs constant maintenance, less time and money is spent on fixing engine issues and more time is spent on jobs making money.
